Chamber Accepting Applications for Leadership Union County Class 2

Posted on January 17, 2013

The El Dorado Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for Leadership Union County Class 2. The 10-month program, which begins Feb 27, is designed to strengthen the community by developing leadership through community interaction, teamwork, networking and hands-on experiences.

Applications are online at goeldorado.com/leadership and due by Feb. 6. The incoming class will continue to work on the first-year project, a plan to help our community better attract and retain young professionals.

"Developing our human capital is the most important thing we can do as a community,? said Chamber President & CEO Henry Florsheim. "Providing opportunities for our citizens to become better leaders can snowball, in turn helping us create more people working to make a better community. Class 2 will have the chance to pick up where Class 1 left off, and we urge anyone interested to apply for the program.?

The program is designed for individuals with the potential and interest to be community leaders. The class will meet one full day a month for 10 months and will conclude with a graduation ceremony and presentation of the class project.
