Open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Barton Library loans books and other materials, provides free public internet access, features a genealogy room, and has five county branches.

PRIDE Youth Programs is a service of SHARE Foundation. The Arkansas office of PRIDE Youth Programs is located in El Dorado, AR. PRIDE focuses the energy of young people to create real solutions to build a safe and drug-free world through the four pillars of PRIDE,

  1.  Community Outreach
  2. Drug Education
  3. Community Service
  4. Drug-Free Activities.

Parents, adults, and community members offer guidance and support to teams of youth dedicated to making a difference. PRIDE Youth Programs is exciting, fun and is an important part of growing up for thousands of young people.

PRIDE offers the following programs to Union County Schools:

  1. Coordinated School Health – El Dorado School District
  2. R.E.A.L. (Responsible Educated Adolescent Leaders) – Union County 5th-8th grade
  3. Best Friends/Worst Enemies – Union County 5th- 8th grade girls
  4. Real Men – Union County 5th – 8th grade boys
  5. CHAMPS – (Champs Have and Model Positive Peer Skills) El Dorado 4th grade
  6. Too Good For Drugs Curriculum – Union County K-12
  7. Freshman Challenge (formerly Teen Time) – El Dorado 9th grade
  8. Puppet programs on tobacco, drugs, conflict and HIV/AIDS
  9. Red Ribbon Week materials

PRIDE offers the following programs to school-based, community-based, or faith-based groups in Arkansas:

  1. New PRIDE Team Trainings
  2. Annual Arkansas PRIDE Conference
  3. Audition and preparation of the annual Arkansas State PRIDE Team
