Egg production in Arkansas totaled 294 million eggs during March 2018, up 13 percent from the previous month and up 1 percent from March 2017. Hatchery supply eggs contributed 183 million eggs to total production inventory.
The number of egg layers in Arkansas during March 2018 averaged 14.4 million, down slightly from the previous month but up 1 percent from this time last year. Egg production per 100 layers averaged 2,048 eggs, up 13 percent from the previous month but down slightly from a year ago.
