Selah,Crabb set to perform at MAD Thursday
Selah and Jason Crabb will perform for their “Your Love is Unbreakable” tour at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Griffin Music Hall in the Murphy Arts District, 101 E. Locust St., El Dorado. Tickets are $15 for mid section seating and $20 for orchestra and can be purchased on the MAD website at tix.eldomad.com.
Crabb, previously part of the Crabb Family Band, is a Grammy Award and 21-time Dove Award winning artist, receiving accolades and wins in “Best Artist,” “Best Male Vocalist” and “Song of the Year” categories.
In recording his fifth solo album, Crabb co-wrote seven of the album’s 10 songs and worked with producers Jason Ingram (Chris Tomlin, Tenth Avenue North and Kari Jobe) and Paul Mabury (Lauren Daigle and One Sonic Society). He is known for his album, “Whatever the Road” and singles “He Knows What He’s Doing,” “Home,” “It’s a Good Life,” and “If I Shout,” according to his website.
A native of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Crabb rose to prominence singing with his siblings as the Crabb Family. The musically progressive family band broadened the scope of southern gospel music and became one of the most successful groups in the genre. Jason Crabb released his first solo album in 2009, and it earned him his first Grammy the following year.
Crabb is also an actor and author. He shared his life story in the book, “Trusting God to Get you Through” and has written a series of successful children’s books. To honor Jason Crabb, his hometown of Beaver Dam recently named the road adjacent to their new amphitheater after him – “Jason Crabb Drive.”
Selah is a contemporary Christian vocal trio consisting of Todd Smith, Allan Hall and Amy Perry. They have won seven Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, sold more than four million album and single units combined and have been performing for 20 years. They have amassed eight Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, a Gold-certified album and eight No. 1 singles. The group’s signature hits include “You Raise Me Up” and “Wonderful, Merciful Savior.”

The Earls of Leicester is a bluegrass group assembled by Jerry Douglas to present the music of Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs and their band, the Foggy Mountain Boys. Their self-titled debut album earned a Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album.
The band’s music focuses on the music of Flatt and Scruggs during the period when the band consisted of Lester Flatt on guitar and lead vocals, Earl Scruggs on banjo and guitar, “Uncle” Josh Graves on dobro, Paul Warren on fiddle, Curly Seckler on Mandolin and “Cousin” Jake Tullock on bass.
