Starfish Circus Matinee Performance

Posted on February 28, 2012

Members of the incredible Starfish Circus will perform on Saturday, March 3, at 12:00 p.m. in and around Corrine Court (located between House of Wylie and KTVE) in downtown El Dorado.

The Starfish Circus is in town working with students from Hugh Goodwin Academy of the Arts and the El Dorado High School. The elite group of performers have auditioned and selected a number of students from both schools and are practicing daily until the public performances on March 9 and 10.

A Starfish residency team includes at least two lead coaches who are working circus professionals and an assistant coach, who may be an intern or junior company member. Each coach is responsible for a specific set of skills and works with individuals and groups. One of the lead coaches will also be the liaison with the school, theatre or camp hosting the residency. Our coaches also train and perform with the Aerial Angels.

Shared honors and awards include:

  • "Most Daring Act" – London Fringe Festival
  • Top Ten Audience Choice" – Kingston Busker Rendezvous, 2005 & 2006
  • Grand Finale Act – Feldkirch (Austria) Gauklerfest

Bring the kids downtown to witness these incredible performers. Expect to see fire-breathing, juggling, balancing acts, trapeze-work and more. " "Pre-Job Fair Workshop Set for March 6 – Thursday, March 01, 2012"
