Looking for some fun ways to celebrate the solar eclipse that’s coming on Monday, April 8th? Join us at the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources for some after-school SOLAR ECLIPSE STEAM programs the week before the eclipse. These programs have us using Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math to help us better understand the Science behind a solar eclipse. There is no charge for these programs. Programs available will be for tinkerers of all ages.

Solar Eclipse STEAM: Rotation and Revolution Moving Parts
Guests will spin with excitement for this engaging way to understand the differences between the Earth’s rotation and revolution around the Sun. A hands-on Art activity in addition to getting an understanding of the Science in a solar eclipse. Participants will build their own model of the Earth, Sun, and Moon, Cut and color, then assemble to make their own 2D solar eclipse model. Once assembled, the model can be used to show how these three celestial bodies orbit around one another.
