n our 2023 Summer STEM Geology Camp, we are putting the emphasis on the “S” in STEM. Geology is a science dealing with the study of rocks. For three afternoons in July, your child will explore the science of how and why oil was discovered in South Arkansas in the 1920s. Through fun experiments, creative activities, and investigative team-building challenges, participants will discovery how our unique natural environment moved and changed over time to produce oil deep under the earth’s surface and what that has do with rocks! This camp is for children ages 6 through 10. Space is limited. To sign-up or get more information, please email paige.creed@arkansas.gov, or call the museum at 870-725-2877.
