The Murphy Arts District and Main Street El Dorado have officially announced the dates for MusicFest 2019 as Sept. 27-28.
The artists are being finalized and will be announced soon, according to a news release.
“We’re working diligently to bring another great lineup to El Dorado,” Pam Griffin, MAD president, said in the release, “and we wanted people to be able to mark their calendars as soon as possible.”
Programming will take place both on the downtown square as well as the various MAD stages.
“Coming to El Dorado for a fun weekend has been a tradition for years,” Beth Brumley, executive director of Main Street El Dorado, said in the release, “and we’re planning an exciting collaboration with MAD this year. It’ll definitely be worth the trip.”
Last year’s downtown square activities included a one-block zip line, a 5-story Ferris Wheel, a mechanical bull, a children’s bounce house, live music, a 5K race and many more.
Prior year’s lineups have included performances by nationally known acts such as country artists Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Justin Moore, Jimmie Allen and Ashley McBryde; rock artists such as Sammy Hagar and the Circle, ZZ Top, Bret Michaels, Lita Ford, the Robert Randolph Band and the X Ambassadors; as well as chart-topping Train, R&B legend Smokey Robinson, rap and hiphop artists Migos, Ludacris, 2 Chainz and Gucci Mane, and much more. MAD will present its regular Thursday Night Live programming of live music on the Griffin Restaurant stage as well on Sept. 26.
El Dorado has seen its arts and culture renaissance blossom through iconic performances in the 2,500-seat First Financial Music Hall at the Griffin, its 8,000-capacity outdoor MAD Amphitheater and the Griffin Restaurant stage. One year into the $100 million endeavor saw the debut of Arkansas’ largest children’s destination Playscape, complete with a large splash pad, changing rooms and modern playground equipment
Ticket prices will be announced soon, along with the artists, and will include bundled ticket packages as well as tickets for individual days. There will also be three ticketing tiers for early bird, regular and day of show pricing.
