The best holiday season ever starts in El Dorado.
In addition to the four seasons of nature, El Dorado also has a festival season. This is a year-round celebration of events and happenings that provides activities and entertainment for all ages. Our spring celebrations start with a host of events such as the annual Mayhaw Festival, May on Main, Bream Festival, and Soul Fest. During the summer months, a collection of downtown events attracts visitors and locals to grilling competitions, car and bike shows, Summer on the Square, and a historic reenactment of the infamous Parnell-Tucker gunfight at Showdown at Sunset. The fall season brings MusicFest, the Murphy USA Shootout, and the Murphy USA Classic. The holiday season kicks off with a downtown lighting ceremony on the square and continues throughout the remainder of the year with festive activities throughout the community. Celebrate year ‘round in the Festival City!
The streets come alive year-round with the sounds of live music and children laughing, along with the familiar aroma of fried festival favorites.
From little league to the South Arkansas Community College Stars sports teams, there is no shortage of sports and recreation in El Dorado.
